The "Neno" Award

Sunflower Ranch is a place where you can find just about anything and then some. There are writer challenges, poetry, fun videos, and beautiful photographs, with a host of wonderful personal stories along the way. Coming to her blog always feels like a you're joining a party or spending a quiet afternoon on friend's porch with lemonade. So...to be gifted with the "Neno" Award by her is quite an honor.
The Neno Award is given to "those who love blogging and love to encourage friendships through blogging, and to help others seek the reasons why we all love blogging." That certainly describes Sunflower Ranch. Now I've got to live up to this Award. I can only hope that someday my blog develops into something as enjoyable as hers.
Among the people I'm choosing for this Award are those whose blogs I've been reading for a while, along with a couple of blogs that I've just begun to read. All of them are in the habit of encouraging friendships. So, drop by and say "Hi!"
Of course there are some rules to go along with this Award. Winners should:
- Upload the image in your post
- Mention the person that gives you the award with their blog link
- Nominate your 5 blogs of choice with blog name and link
- Leave comment on the recipients' posts to let them know
And so .... my nominees for The "Neno" Award are:
Coco of Art By Coco, who does incredible stained glass and decorative folk painting. She's also a team player who's always looking to support other artists.
Ivanhoe of From Ohio with Love. Her blog is warm and homey. The kind of place you just want spend time in.
Jaime Lyerly, of Art Making is a Journey. She's a talented artist who is incredibly active and has opened her arms to embrace the whole world.
Jennifer of Vanbeads, who is a wonderful jewelry designer and glass worker. I had the pleasure of meeting her at a local craft fair and she is every bit as personable and welcoming as her blog.
Sandee of Comedy Plus, who really does have a blog that's full of Comedy Plus. Her wit and storytelling is only surpassed by her warmth. If you need a smile, go visit her blog.
Again...many thanks to Sunflower Ranch! And to all the other wonderful Blogs to whom I'm passing on this Award! As the old Cole Porter says..."You're the Top!"

Congratulations on receiving Nano award!
Thank you very much for passing it on me. I will post it soon.
In the meantime, have a wonderful Independence Day!
Thank you, Ivanhoe! Congratulations to you too!
Have a Wonderful Independence Day, Everyone!
Wow! What a great surprise and honor. I'd rather toot someone else's horn than my own, but it sure feels good to have someone else tooting mine. So Thanks for your recognition and encouragement.
Coco, you're so very welcome! You deserve it for all the help and support you give to other people.
Congratulations on receiving this awesome award first of all.
Secondly, thank you so very much Mary. What a pleasant surprise as well. You certainly made my day. Thank you. Let me catch up some. I've been gone for 6 days and I've about 350 emails to attend to and I don't even want to think about my Google reader. Yikes.
Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)
Sandee, you're so welcome! You certainly deserve it. I'm trying to dig myself out of backed up stuff too. S, don't worry about the award. I just wanted to thank you for all you do.
Hi, Mary Anne! Thanks so much for the Neno Award! I just saw the comment on my blog (yikes, it's been busy up here!), and I will mention it the next time I post. It was so great to meet you at the Glens Falls LARAC show! Hope you are enjoying your summer, as it is. :-)
Hey, VanBeads! I hope you've been good busy! Some jewelry folks have been having a hard time with the weather upstate and the economy.
We're wondering when summer is going to actually arrive and stay. The blackflies are really the only ones enjoying the weather. There are still too many of them around!
